“ Ancient Flavors My partner and I always noticed this restaurant with its old-world atmosphere when passing through the area: the colorful chairs, the wooden tables, the warm lighting that creates a magical atmosphere, the multicolored cushions on the wall surrounding an area where time seems to stand still... So one day we decided to ask if they had anything to take away to the beach... we couldn't have made a better choice! As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Antonia: kind, sweet, cheerful, polite, and the perfect hostess! Always ready to accommodate customers' requests. She prepared two delicious takeaway sandwiches for us! You might say, "It's just a sandwich"... but no: the high quality of the ingredients used shines through in every bite! And so, very impressed by the food and our hostess, we returned; this time for lunch. We've never stopped going back! As soon as we can, we rush there, where everything takes you back to a time when life was different, better: not just the "ancient flavors" (the name never was more fitting!), but also, and above all, the wonderful people of the past! Antonia sat us down, even though it was a little late for lunch. There was no written, cold menu, but Antonia, with her warmth and passion for cooking, offered and recommended all the exquisite dishes she prepares, both seafood and meat. What can I say?! Everything was delicious!!! Traditional dishes, generous but with a modern twist that makes them even better! I won't even bother listing the excellent dishes we tasted; you have to try them. I'll just say that we had one of the best pasta carbonaras ever: a perfect combination of the various ingredients and a crispiness of the guanciale that we'd never tasted before (it seems like an exaggeration, but it really is: try it and believe it!!!). Everything was exquisite and delicious, from appetizer to dessert. And it's all Antonia's work; The kitchen is her kingdom, where her culinary skills perfectly combine various ingredients, preserving the flavors of tradition! If you're in Baia Domizia, the surrounding area, or just visiting for a few days, you can't miss eating here! "Antichi Sapori" is a traditional place with unique colors, aromas, and flavors, where you can eat delicious dishes and feel like you're part of the family, right from the first moment! A place where time stands still! We haven't been without it since that day, and we turn to Antonia for everything: delivery, lunches, dinners, and even aperitifs. Antonia is unique: there are no people like her anymore, and she deserves all the success she has... and more! I'll start by saying we're not from Baia, we were staying at a hotel nearby, so this place popped up on Maps... just by typing in pizzerias near me, we were surprised, because they do so many things. Obviously, if you go, keep in mind that there are few staff, few tables, and a lot of people, so I recommend going very hungry but without rushing. The portions are generous, but really excellent, well-prepared. We'll definitely be back. I'll see if I can post some photos, both takeaway and eat-in. Everything is good and fresh. ”
